Synopsis
Digital press presents characteristics resembling both traditional press and multimedia content. It would be wise to ask ourselves if traditional norms suffice to effectively control digital press or if there is a necessity to adopt modern norms.
Basic concepts such as the « press professional » and the « press organization » must be reanalyzed in order to determine if they should confer the same duties and benefits as they would traditionally.
The differences between basic press principles and the logics of digital press raise interpretation difficulties as well as legislative challenges.
