Based on ongoing work on cyberjustice development, in particular with respect to e-filing and integrated justice information systems, the author analyzes the interoperability and standardization of tools that are “designed to facilitate judicial and extra-judicial dispute processing and resolution while taking into account the complexity of relevant legal parameters and information flows.” The author suggests that the complexity be dealt with by establishing a framework for analysing legal risks in both civil and criminal law.
